Technical Information - Standard Torches

Gas supply for Standard torches

For use at high pressure (0.35-2bar) with propane and for continuous use the minimum size of cylinder is shown in the table. Butane cylinders now only have clip on connections and high pressure regulators (1bar) needed for our torches are not available - so these cylidners cannot be used for our torches,

Burner adaptor

These burners can be fitted to a manifold using a Burner adaptor No 1073. The burners have a 1.0in x 26tpi Whit form female thread.

Flashback arrestors

Are not needed for these torches (download letter from HSE for verification).

Regulator

Any of the Tinyregs or Bijou regulators. The No.1051 variable Tinyreg for propane is recommended to give the best results from these torches.

Hose

4.8mm high pressure hose to BS.3212/2 (no.1299) only must be used, with suitable hose clips
